Climate Change Finance Forum

The BMBF-funded project "Climate Change, Financial Markets and Innovation" (CFI) of the Sustainable Business Institute (SBI) was embedded in the High-Tech Strategy of the federal government.

Significant associations and companies of the financial sector in Germany have been invited by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research ( BMBF) to participate in a dialogue on the further development of this strategy and corresponding strategic initiatives which resulted in thethe establishment of the "Climate Change Finance Forum".

Participants throughout the years 2007-2013: Allianz, Altira Group , AXA Insurance, Oppenheim, BayernLB, Federal Association of German Capital Association ( BVK), the Federal Association of German Cooperative Banks (BVR), Commerzbank, Dresdner Bank, Deutsche Bank, Postbank , German savings Banks and Giro Association, Association of the German Insurance Association (GDV), Munich Re and UniCredit Bank (HypoVereinsbank) .

The members of the "Climate Change
Finance Forum" have been involved as an advisor for the definition of the agenda of the CFI project and for the preparation of studies, dialogues, concepts and written statements.

The "Climate Change
Finance Forum" has been integrated into the Association for Environmental Management and Sustainability in Financial Institutions (VfU) at the end of the CFI project.
